The Silver White Breast Gouldian Finch is one of the most visually distinctive—and most challenging—mutations produced at Lady Gouldian Finch Canada. Its combination of soft silver body colour and brilliant white breast creates an exceptionally striking bird, but that beauty comes with significant breeding challenges.
This is an exceptionally difficult mutation to produce and successfully raise to adulthood. Our experience has shown a historical strike rate of approximately 36% reaching maturity, requiring considerably more time, resources, and careful management than our other Gouldian mutations.For this reason, Silver White Breast Gouldians are produced in very limited numbers, and we will not increase production simply to meet demand.
