Discover the striking Blue Back Salmon / Straw Head Gouldian Finch at Lady Gouldian Finch Canada. Combining the highly sought-after Blue Back mutation with the distinctive colour variations of the head mask, these birds make an exceptional addition to an experienced Gouldian breeder's aviary.
Blue Back Gouldians remain among the most sought-after mutations among Gouldian enthusiasts, and demand frequently exceeds our available supply. At Lady Gouldian Finch Canada, we deliberately maintain conservative breeding numbers to avoid overcrowding and prioritize the health and well-being of our birds. We produce approximately 50 chicks per season, so availability of individual mutations is limited.
About Salmon & Straw Heads
In Blue Back Gouldians, the familiar Red and Orange head colours appear differently from those seen in Green Backs. Red Heads develop a softer salmon or rosy hue, while Orange Heads appear a lighter straw colour. For this reason, these Blue Back head colours are described as Salmon and Straw.
