The Black Eyed White Gouldian Finch is an extraordinary expression of the Silver White Breast mutation and one of the most distinctive Gouldians produced at Lady Gouldian Finch Canada.
Combining a Black Head with Silver and White Breast genetics can produce an exceptionally clean, virtually pure-white bird with contrasting dark eyes—giving rise to the name Black Eyed White.
Despite its appearance, the Black Eyed White is not an albino. Its dark eyes immediately distinguish it from true albinism and make its remarkable white appearance particularly striking.

We list the Black Eyed White separately from our other Silver White Breast Gouldians because of its unique phenotype, limited production, and the considerable breeding commitment required to produce it.

⚠️ EXPERIENCED BREEDERS ONLY
Black Eyed White Gouldians are intended for highly experienced Gouldian breeders.
This is an exceptionally challenging mutation to produce and raise successfully. We strongly recommend substantial experience breeding and maintaining Gouldians before considering Black Eyed Whites.
Production is deliberately limited, and availability cannot be guaranteed within a specific breeding season

Availability:
Black Eyed White Gouldians are bred by reservation only and in extremely limited numbers.
Availability is entirely dependent on breeding results, and reservations are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the difficulty and unpredictability involved in producing this phenotype, wait times may be considerably longer than those for other Gouldian mutations.
